Roy DeGiovanni
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. DeGiovanni is an accomplished leader in the chemical engineering and construction industries, bringing over 25 years of experience to the role of CEO at IDEA. With a strong foundation in both construction and engineering, he has a comprehensive understanding of process development and optimization, safety regulations, and sustainability practices. After serving in the Army, Mr. DeGiovanni furthered his expertise by obtaining a Master's degree in Construction Management from Central Connecticut. This unique combination of education, field and life experience equips him with the skills to effectively manage complex projects that bridge the gap between engineering innovation and construction execution. As CEO of IDEA, Mr. DeGiovanni is dedicated to promoting engineering excellence, sustainable practices, and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry. He is committed to developing talent within the organization and building strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Alicia Chasse

Ms. Chasse has a proven track record in overseeing large-scale company operations, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and implementing transformative strategies that have led to improved profitability, customer satisfaction, and market positioning. Her expertise spans across supply chain management, process optimization, strategic planning, and risk management, enabling organizations to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing business environment.
Wallace Reinecke
Principal
Mr. Reinecke has over 35 years of experience in the specialty chemical and pharmaceutical industries. For over ten years he managed a 75-man design/engineering group comprised of instrumentation, civil/structural, architectural, layout/piping, electrical power, HVAC and construction disciplines. Throughout his career he has also acted as a Project Manager/Director on numerous chemical and pharmaceutical projects. He has demonstrated the ability to manage both people and projects. Mr. Reinecke has also been a guest lecturer on the topics of project and construction management for the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
Thomas Hustek, PE
Principal
Mr. Hustek is a graduate chemical engineer with 30 years experience in the specialty chemical, polymer and pharmaceutical industries. His background is very strong in chemical unit operations and as such he has demonstrated his ability to conceive, develop, evaluate and implement new process concepts for a variety of projects. He has also been a guest lecturer on the subjects of air toxics destruction and solvent emission abatement. Mr. Hustek has responsibility for all technical aspects of the company, with specific emphasis on conceptual development at IDEA. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut.

Richard Gregoire, PE
Principal
Mr. Gregoire is a graduate chemical engineer with over 25 years experience in the specialty chemical, pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. His background encompasses the full range of process and project engineering activities. Mr. Gregoire has lectured at Interphex in Controlling Solvent Emissions from Process Vents. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut as well as numerous other states. Mr. Gregoire has responsibility for various process engineering and code review activities performed at IDEA.
Paul Mancuso, PE, CxA
Principal
Mr. Mancuso is a graduate electrical engineer with more than 30 years experience in the specialty chemical, pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. His background includes virtually all aspects of Instrumentation and controls engineering/design as well as project engineering and business development for major engineering firms. He has also been a guest lecturer on the subjects of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and field instrumentation for a number of educational institutions and is currently licensed in CT, NY, NC and AZ. Mr. Mancuso has overall responsibility for all electrical and instrument/controls work at IDEA.

Ed Shelomis, PE
Director of Structural Engineering
Mr. Shelomis is an accomplished professional with 55 years of progressive and diverse experience. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from the University of New Haven. He obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He holds professional engineering licenses in 13 states along with a professional Land Surveying license in CT. Mr. Shelomis was an adjunct Faculty member at the University of New Haven from 1978 through 1983. Mr. Shelomis has extensive experience in Advance Technology, Forensic engineering, Litigation cases, Federal/Municipal projects, manufacturing and parking structures.
Kristian Bernier, PE
Structural Manager
With an impressive career span of over 27 years, Mr. Bernier is a seasoned Structural Engineer known for delivering innovative and resilient structural solutions. He is licensed as a professional engineer in the state of Connecticut. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering and engineering Mechanics from Columbia University. Throughout his career, Mr. Bernier has been integral in designing and managing various projects, including commercial buildings, residential complexes and industrial renovations for process expansion. Mr. Bernier brings creative thinking and new approaches to many of his projects.

Joe Lenskold, PE
Sr. Structural Engineer
Mr. Lenskold has 27 years of experience in the civil and structural engineering design field. His expertise includes structural design and analysis of building framing systems using a wide range of materials including steel, concrete, aluminum, masonry and timber. Additional experience consists of facade engineering, due diligence inspections of existing structures, analysis of impacts to existing structures from increased seismic and wind loads, and 3D Building Information Modeling. He is also well‐versed in land use, planning and development projects with an emphasis on storm water management systems. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
